One-liner: Boring, unsexy scheduling/ranking/match-report software sold as a subscription to local tennis clubs and leagues (USTA-style ladders).
Origin: Brainstormed 2026-09-23 in a session about hitting $250K/year solo online, tennis+fitness passion angle.
The core insight: Clubs and leagues run on spreadsheets, Facebook groups, and clunky legacy ladder tools. It’s not glamorous, but it’s a recurring, low-churn B2B subscription that clubs will pay for reliably once it works, and it’s underserved because nobody wants to build “boring” software for a niche sport. Low competition is the whole thesis here, not innovation.
Status: Raw — unvalidated, no build, no customer conversations yet.
Open question: Does this compete with existing tools (e.g. TennisLink/USTA’s own systems, League Merit, Tennis Ladder apps) closely enough to be a hard sell, or is there a specific underserved segment (private clubs, corporate leagues) worth targeting first?
