One-liner: A way to help people find truly good specialists — or train the people already in the trade — for hands-on “human business” services: massage therapists, physiotherapists, estheticians (waxing), and similar.
Origin: humanbusinessproject repo, 2017. Domain www.humanbusinessproject.com was purchased and pointed at it, but the repo never got past a placeholder page — the concept itself was never written down in the code, only the name and domain.
The core insight: In trades where the work is physical/personal (massage, physio, waxing, etc.), quality is highly practitioner-dependent and hard to evaluate from the outside — reviews and credentials don’t capture whether someone is actually good with their hands. Two possible angles on solving that:
Status: Raw — name and domain only, concept came from the user directly rather than any code/content in the repo.
Open question: Discovery and training are two different products (a marketplace/directory vs. an education platform) — worth deciding which angle this was really about, or whether it’s both.
