One-liner: A to-do list that looks like a brainstorming mind-map — add a task as a cloud, branch it into smaller sub-task clouds, drag any cloud around and its connections follow. Clouds grow larger as more sub-tasks are added to them.
Origin: Requested as “a to-do list that looks like a brainstorming tree.” Plain HTML/CSS/JS with localStorage is sufficient for v1 — no backend or framework needed for a single-user, single-device tool.
Stack: Plain HTML/CSS/JS, no framework or build step. SVG for the connecting lines,
Pointer Events for drag, contentEditable for inline renaming, localStorage for persistence.
Verified with a Playwright-driven browser test covering add/branch/drag/edit/done/delete/reload.
Status: Active — v1 (core loop: add cloud, branch to sub-task, drag, rename, mark done,
delete, autosave) built and pushed to runquest/brainstorm-tree
(private). Not yet opened in a real browser by the user — next iteration should start there.
